WORKSHOP ON POST-TRIBAL SOCIETY IN SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA

Naples 26-28 November 2019:
The NSD-S HUB hosted a cultural workshop with the challenging aim of examining cultural stereotypes and the ethnocentric ways of talking, writing and discussing the African continent. Dr Nowakowska, from the Military University of Land Forces in Wroclaw (Poland) led the discussion about cultural awareness in the context of post-colonial societies. Her wide-ranging approach was enriched with the perspective of experts from regional organizations. There were detailed briefings and inputs given by experts from the Kofi Annan International Peace Training Centre in Accra (Ghana), the Hawassa University in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) and South Africa Node of the Millenium Program, Pretoria (South Africa).
