NSD-S HUB VISITS THE INSTITUTE FOR PEACE AND SECURITY STUDIES

From the 3rd to the 5th of July, NSD-S Hub staff visited the Institute for Peace and Security Studies (IPSS) and the African Union Conflict Prevention and Early Warning Division (CPEWD) in Addis Ababa to coordinate the collaboration to take place with each organization during the fall of 2019. This visit came on the heels of a visit by the Director of the NSD-S Hub in May, where the initial ideas for opportunities to collaborate were conceived. All meetings were very productive and agreements were reached to collaborate on topics of mutual interest. This marks the first step in an extensive cooperation effort with these entities that will increase the knowledge regarding the pertinent security issues in the South.
