NSD-S HUB ORGANISES AN ALLIES COMMUNITIES OF INTEREST CONFERENCE

On the 21st November 2019, the NATO Strategic Direction South – Hub (NSD-S Hub) held their first Allies Communities of Interest Conference in order to contribute to coordination of NATO activities. The one day conference was designed to bring all NATO Allies to one location and create a community of interest that could help share key information, in order to have a better regional perspective.

Held in Naples, Italy the conference was part of the collective effort to build up a central point of contact for Allies and to understand their activities, it also provided a chance to identify opportunities for NATO. Most of NATO Allies participated along with representation for other organizations.
The event was well received and all represented countries realized how NATO can improve coordination. The conference demonstrated that there is huge potential and the Hub can capitalize on this opportunity to connect, consult and coordinate.
