From January 30th through February 1st 2018, Lieutenant Commander Michael Nunziato (US Navy Foreign Area Officer on NSD-S HUB Core Team) was invited to attend the Partnership 360 Conference (P360) held at the Federal Academy for Security Policy (BAKS), Berlin, Germany. P360 was the first time that NATO's Allied Command Transformation (ACT) and International Staff Political Affairs and Security Policy Division (PASP) co-hosted such an event, in a "one NATO” spirit of political-military cooperation. The event brought together civilian and military representatives from Allies and all partner nations. Envisaged as a participative workshop focused on the future evolution of NATO’s partnerships policy, it had a particular focus on the main expectations and outcomes for the 2018 Brussels Summit.

LCDR Nunziato was asked to sit on the day one panel to give his perspectives on the how the NSD-S Hub will interact with Partner Nations at the strategic level and how both Partners and the NSD-S Hub have a common goal of strengthening the two-way relationship between Partners and NATO. LCDR Nunziato was also afforded time on the closing day of the conference to discuss the current status of the NSD-S Hub as well as the short, medium and long-term goals the NSD-S Hub envisages for the year to come.  His speech can be viewed above in PUBLICATIONS/NSDS HUB PUBLICATION.

The Partnership 360 Conference was a pivotal event that brought Member and Partner nations together to discuss the importance of continued dialogue and cooperation as we find the best way forward to promote NATO’s core tasks.  The relationship between Member and Partner nations is crucial in an always-changing world where resources are scarce and challenges continue to evolve.
